So, here it is. As I detest whenever it happens to me, I state here that I, Jennifer Marie Bellan, sole proprietor and webwitch of all the various projects that comprise "Bear Charmer," promise to  never sell, barter, or rent your email address to any unauthorized third party.  Never ever.

How I gather information about you, my visitors

As I, myself, spend a goodly amount of time ferreting out spyware and rooting out tracking cookies, I will not use them and the only place your email address/ISP server address may get logged will be with the page's hit counter, or if you sign up for my newsletter, or when you make a purchase.  This information may be collected automatically and through the use of electronic tools that may not be evident when you visit.  Please know, however, that I will make every effort to make sure you haven't gotten lost in one of those infernal mail-loops and that I may send you an email or a piece of physical mail periodically inviting you to reconfirm your assent to be included in my mailing list. There will always be a mechanism provided (called an "opt-in/opt-out" thing) where you can let me know if you no longer wish any involvement with me or the Enterprises (and I promise these indications will be heeded and not simply "filed in the round file").

The information I collect about you, my visitors

Name and email address, at most; and again, only when you sign up.  At this point in time, I do not process on-line payments directly, but rather, through   PayPal  which has a "secured server" thing.  Your physical address is logged when you make a purchase and is stored in my off-line inventory control program.  Please know that I respect your privacy and do not share your information with anyone.  Ever.

Children

I do not knowingly collect or solicit Personally Identifiable Information from or about children under 13 except as permitted by "law" (and that means you, the parent/guardian...and if you aren't policing what your children are doing on-line, may I ask "why not?").  If I discover I have received any information from a child under 13 in violation of this policy, I will delete that information immediately or I may send you an email asking whether you know of this situation.  A lot of the items I sell could very well be purchased by your children as gifts for you and I'm aware that my email could spoil the surprise, but such is our world--better to be safe.  If you believe I have any information from or about anyone under 13, please contact me at the address listed below.

I reserve the right to change this policy when needed (as with new technology), so please check this page periodically for changes.  Your continued use of the site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes.  Information collected prior to the time any change is posted will be used according to the rules and laws that applied at the time the information was collected.  This statement and the policies outlined herein are not intended to and do not create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.
